Chap. 11 Developing and Managing products



Illy introduces all their new products in many different ways, if is not creating a hugh poster placed  on a wall with bright red lettering to catch the costumers eyes. They are using their local employees to samples in every public venues the reason for this strategy is to help the people all around open their option into a new coffee product. Thats the reason illy gives out free samples to also advertise the name of the new product and for the costumers to taste the greatness of this new product.

If a product doesnt sell as much illy will either change the name of the product or just take out the market completely... ive noticed that not every illy caffe has the same menu... some has more options then others. Illy leaves product thats are selling on the menu .. but lets say my particukar stores has a product thats hardly sells illy will take it out and replace it with another item. In many cases the product that doesnt sell in a store could sell in others. Illy has their own ways of selling and introducing their product. Illy keeps their options open if their main plan doesnt suceed.
